Something Real

Life is so ironic. Always want what we can't have. Like Alanis Morisette said:

"It's like meeting the man of my dreams, and then meeting his beautiful wife"

It happens so very rarely when 2 people click and they can just be themselves with one another without any insecurities and prejudices. Friendship is the foundation of happiness. Weather it's platonic or emotionally charged, establishing that friendship is the key to making a relationship last. Friendship is pure and selfless as should love be. Those who are lucky enough to find a friend in a person of an opposite sex have a chance for something real. There will be no games, just pure, honest love.

So many times i go into relationships and overcome all of my fears and inhibitions only to find that the other person is not of equal mite; they simply haven't the ability to adjust themselves equally to be a partner. And unless i compromise myself continuously to modify for their shortcomings, then the relationship is doomed from the beginning. It's completely unfair. It's like in Any Rand when the 'second-handers', those who only consume and do not contribute to society, enslave the men of intelligence with the noxiousness of their need, their dependence on a greater individual's conscience instead of their own individual abilities. Do not stop seeking an equal. And do not compromise. Ever. Or you will never stop...
